Tanisha Caravello
Financial Planner
Born in Eugene, Oregon, to an artist and a jazz musician, Tanisha spent her first two years studying biology at the University of Illinois in Chicago before transferring to the University of California in Davis, where she graduated with a B.S. in Plant Biology in 2005. During this time, she received the President’s Undergraduate Fellowship (2003), the Award for Outstanding Academic and Research Achievements in Plant Biology (2005), and the Botanical Society of America Young Botanist Award (2005).
At Dow AgroSciences in Portland, Oregon, Tanisha led a small team of molecular geneticists, developing a robotic system which automated genetic processing and data acquisition, increasing through-put ten-fold. Then, after thirteen years of research, she decided to pursue a career change.
Tanisha spent the next ten years searching for her passion. During this time, she founded a website dedicated to the art, science and history of beer and designed and managed websites for small business. She also studied historic preservation and restoration (2015-2016) and briefly owned a business restoring historic wood windows in Astoria, Oregon. Later, she worked as a stained glass restorationist in Brook Park, Ohio.
After nearly five years of studying investment strategies and doing technical analysis for fun, Tanisha decided to take her obsession to the next level and become a professional financial planner. She is passionate about providing her clients with the solutions they need to meet their financial goals and protect their family – providing them with the financial freedom to pursue their dreams, nurture their talents, and leave a better world as their legacy.
Tanisha moved to Cleveland at the end of 2016 to restore her own home, circa 1900, and is still in the process today. When she’s not working on the house, she’s tending to a yard full of wildflowers and lilies, listening to finance and investment podcasts, or writing.
