Skylight wins 2014 HRC Corporate Equality Award

Skylight Financial Group is delighted to have been awarded the 2014 Corporate Equality Award by the Cleveland, Ohio Chapter of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) – the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization.  The award is given to a member of the business community in recognition of their efforts to promote and advance equality for the LGBT community.  The award ceremony, which took place at the HRC’s Annual Gala on September 20 at the Cleveland Public Hall, included singing from Alex Newell, US actor, and singer, best known for his role as Wade “Unique” Adams on Glee.

Eugene Walters of the HRC Cleveland Steering Committee said “Skylight Financial Group has been a long-standing supporter of the LGBT population.  They are always one of the first entities to step up and show support.  When deciding on the Cleveland HRC 2014 Equality Award Winner, the choice was clear and undisputed,”

“It was not only one of the easiest decisions of the planning process, but also one of the best decisions.  We can’t thank Skylight enough for all they do for the LGBT community and we look forward to collaborating with them in the future,” added Melanie Falls, also of the Steering Committee.
