On Thursday, October 12th, Skylight Financial Group's Toledo office celebrated its 7th Annual Silent Auction, a heartwarming event that brings together associates, local small businesses, and corporate sponsors in support of The Victory Center. Last year, the event successfully raised funds for this exceptional organization, and this year, Skylight Financial Group Toledo continued its commitment to help The Victory Center fulfill its mission.

The Victory Center is an organization that provides a wide range of supportive services for cancer patients, survivors, and their loved ones. These services include reflexology, oncology massage, reiki, and more. The organization has also offered support through exercise programs, support groups, a wig bank, and educational programs. What's truly remarkable is that everything they provide is entirely free of charge, and they rely on private donations to sustain their important work.

The decision to support The Victory Center was deeply personal for the Toledo Skylight office. Several of their associates have directly benefited from the services offered by The Victory Center, making their connection to this cause more than just financial. Mary Gensler, Operations Coordinator and a driving force behind this initiative, emphasized the personal connection to cancer and the impact it has had on their office community. "Over the last 10 years, we have lost three friends from our office to breast cancer. We watched those ladies and others go through horrendous treatments in the hope it would kill whatever type of cancer they had. We wanted to do something that would help with research and comfort for them," Mary said. This emotional investment is what drives their commitment to supporting The Victory Center.

The 7th annual Silent Auction saw a generous outpouring of support from local small businesses, corporate sponsors, and Skylight associates. The donated items ranged from gift cards and merchandise to sporting event tickets, river cruise packages, cosmetics, and many more unique items. Throughout a day filled with friendly competition and bidding wars, the event managed to raise a remarkable $2,085.

The money raised was delivered to The Victory Center, where Itzel Krauss, Operations Manager, expressed her gratitude for Skylight's continued support. This contribution will undoubtedly go a long way in ensuring that The Victory Center can continue to provide top-notch services to all those affected by cancer, giving them hope and support during their journey.

Skylight Financial Group is proud to stand alongside The Victory Center, believing wholeheartedly in their mission to provide hope and support to cancer patients, survivors, and their loved ones. With their commitment to this cause, they are making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in their community who are affected by cancer, demonstrating the power of unity and compassion.
