William Sergio
Financial Planner
Will Sergio interned with Skylight Financial Group in 2019, and in 2020 he started working full time as a financial planner. Will’s goal in life has always been to be someone that others can rely on, whether it be on the ice as his hockey team’s goaltender, as a volunteer at the local historical society and food bank, or now, as a financial planner for his clients. Since joining Skylight, Will has built his practice by working with ambitious young professionals, new and experienced teachers, and chiropractors. Together with the team he is on; Will is able to share the knowledge he has gained and point others in the right direction.
Will became interested in the financial world when he took an economics class at his high school, Saint Charles Prep. Although he thought economics was interesting, he couldn’t find a job in the economics field that fulfilled all of his goals. Will enjoys learning about history, speaking in front of others, and sharing knowledge that he has learned, so he wanted to find a career incorporating all of those aspects. After some more research, Will found himself attending BGSU, and in 2020 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Specialization in Financial Planning. Thanks to the BGSU Career Fair, he found Skylight and has been with the company ever since.
Will commonly spends time with his mom, dad, and little brother. Since attending BGSU, he realizes that not everyone is blessed with such an amazing family, and he tries to cherish every moment he can with them. He is also grateful to have had the same core friend group since Kindergarten, and when his four best friends are all back in town, they go to museums, sporting events, and amusement parks. When he is not working or spending time with others, you can find Will studying history, playing hockey or golf, taking part in Medieval Renaissance fairs, and enjoying the latest Star Wars content.
